WELCOME

Welcome to our newly renovated GRAND Hostel & Bar with 20 rooms, communal kitchens, the GRAND Bar, terrace and much more. The rooms are furnished with great attention to detail and, with the communal kitchens and the public bar, offer the ideal meeting place in Engelberg. Each room has its own lockable refrigerator and the kitchens are equipped with everything you need to cook comfortably. The central location right next to the train station and only a few minutes' walk from all attractions in Engelberg further distinguish this house. Instead of a reception, you can do your check-in conveniently with the in-house app. Order breakfast, get in contact with your host or find information about the house and accomodation in Engelberg, all on the "AAconcierge app".

Our digitalization

The world is becoming more and more digital and so we developed a digital app (AAconcierge) that meets the needs of our guests today. The app, in turn, allows us to offer the rooms / apartments cost-effectively, because as a guest you can do a lot of things yourself, such as check-in, and only pay for the services you want and book via the app. Once you have checked in on the app, you can conveniently open your room door or fridge with your mobile phone.

Nevertheless, personal contact is important to us, which is why we also live in the house and we also have a bar which is operated by a lovely host Jas (Tuesday to Sunday, 4pm - 12pm). You can contact us at any time via the app or arrange a meeting with us. We are glad to be here for you!

Common Kitchen

There are a total of 2 fully equipped communal kitchens with 6 stoves and 6 sinks on the ground floor and basement. The kitchens are open from 7 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and can be used without a reservation. There you will also find your fridge labeled with your room number and a non-refrigerated compartment, which you can also open with your digital room key. We ask you to leave the kitchens clean for the next guest and to respect the house rules.
If you have ordered breakfast via the app, you will find it from 7:30 a.m. in your non-refrigerated compartment.

GRAND Bar

The GRAND Bar is unique in Engelberg and probably the most colorful bar in Engelberg and the region. Your host is happy to serve you at the bar and is always ready to listen to his guests. In addition to sparkling cocktails, the menu also includes exquisite wines, beer, hot drinks and our flammkuchen. We look forward to your visit from Tuesday to Sunday from 16:00 to 00:00.
